It's interesting that you bring the idea of nuclear weaponry into it because one of my ideas with the HP-verse (and one that channonyarrow and I ran a game around) was that if muggles genuinely were threatened by wizards in the way that Rowling seemed to imply, they would probably drop the bomb. After all- it's consistently been one of the major threats against nations since nuclear power was created.

I'd love to read that fic- I've never seen that subject explored before.

As for reading about a character like those you mention in your comment below, I think it would be extremely interesting. I do wonder, however, how many people would scream "Sue!" about it...
