Also, I have totally been made. I have, on my desk, a manuscript. It is:
a) from an agent that I tried to buy a book from a month or so ago (it was sold out from under me to a higher bidder, but now I know that the agent is sane)
b) "a little bit left-field" according to said agent (Tinhats ahoy!)
and,
c) about rockstars. Or their clones.

SOLD.

On the other hand, it IS in Courier. *spits rage and hate at Courier*

Ooo, the Shins are playing Bumbershoot. I completely forgot that was this weekend. Have fun there!

Speaking of Steve Earle, have you heard his new one? I've seen that he has a new one but haven't heard it yet.

Haha, of course I haven't. I have to go to Easy Street this weekend, though, or I will die, so I'll look for it.

I'm hoping not to get to Monday (when all of those groups are playing) and go "Meh."

Hey, I'm going all the way to Austin to see Bjork, Jon Dee Graham, and Arcade Fire. I'd kill for a local festival like that to go to.

Hey, I thought about going all the way to New Jersey for a concert yesterday (I thought it about it yesterday; the concert's at the end of October). You're not the only one nuts like that. But come on, surely you've noticed how hard it is to take things that happen in your own city as special, and I do tend to get involved in what I'm doing. But if it comes to that, I can totally slag off The Blakes and go to the other two.

When I saw that they were playing Bumbershoot something pierced the My Chem fog in my brain and said "WAAAAANT." It sounded kind of like a zombie.
