Why I don't drink tea.

Looking in my teacup today, I'm quite sure that the leaves didn't say "Die, Ron, die," but I'm also sure there was a Grim there.

Now what do I do?

Seems only reasonable to flee the country and never stop until I drop dead of a heart attack. All in all, I'd rather be pursued by that bomb from Transmetropolitan - the one that looked like a kid with no head that was trying to kill Spider Jerusalem in the "Freeze Me With Your Kiss" story arc.

Not that I know anything about Transmet. *whistles innocently*

"Spider, it's your son!" That whole arc was some funny shite, yes yes...

"Okay, let me just say that it's conceivable with your drug history you could have a son with no head."

Yeah, I loved that one. Have you read all of them, then, or no?

[identity profile] emjay42.livejournal.com 2004-10-08 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I own all the TPBs and read them all in the span of three weeks. The unfortunate side effect of that is that can't remember all of the quotes that I want to remember from them... and there are SO many of them in there!

Of course, John Edwards is still "The Smiler" to me... :)

See, when it first came out, I thought Bush was the Smiler, but he's turning into the Beast.

Perhaps there's some sort of relationship there. At the start of the term you are the Smiler. At the end, you are the Beast.

NO MORE PRESIDENTS EVER YAY.

If you're not man enough to face the consequences of your teacup, invest in some teabags. *g*

Or some reading skillz. I accidentally bought leaf tea instead of bagged tea when I bought this stuff, and I'm just paying the price.

Looking fwd to spending some hard-earned bread on more Transmet. Oh, and those pseudo-comics W.E. is publishing.

You after them too?

[identity profile] channonyarrow.livejournal.com 2004-10-08 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Not yet - I'm not sure what I think of them. Perhaps, if I can take a look at them in the store and see what I think of them, I will be.

But right now I'm revelling in having all the Transmet and all-but-one of the Preacher series. I still need to look into stuff like The Authority and Planetary and Global Frequency, too.

Did you buy the gratuitous new out-takes collection: about 10 different artists (some good, some shite).
I did ;o)

[identity profile] channonyarrow.livejournal.com 2004-10-12 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
No, not yet - what's that called? If he discussed it on lj, I've heard of it, but don't know the name off the top of my head.
