I have mixed reservations about my apparent ability to write anything (whether it's good is another issue) when I find myself slashing Firenze and Snape in the game.
I mean, centaurs?
Oooookay.
However, it's been good fun (other than the constant paranoia of knowing that the person on the other side is
srichard who I quite admire) and I find it strangely working, in a logical, emotionless, rational, Vulcan sort of way.
The only problem I have with it is that someone showed me a game journal once, in which they played Trelawney, who believed that her rooms were infested with centaurs. In fact, she had a centaur paranoia.
So, of course, every time Firenze and Snape start to interact, all I can think of is Trelawney from the previews, cracked out and writing in her journal about the centaur behind the draperies.
It makes it hard to get writing done, honestly. I mean, you're trying to write characters that feel everything deeply and hide it by being logical, rational bastards having sex, and some part of my brain is going "Centaur!" It's like Austin Powers and Fred Savage in Goldmember - "Mole!"
It's been fun, and I seriously hope srichard will be able to tolerate it when I start laughing hysterically over the chat box about the centaur hiding in the cloud of smoke.
