Okay, I don't usually do this, but this dream was very odd and also I actually remember it.
There were four main characters in the dream, myself, Tararaven, a random boy and a random girl. I think the boy was moderately important, but he never said much except in one scene. The only reason I know there were four of us was because the car was full. This will make sense in a moment.
Or not.
Anyway, we were all students at Hogwarts, but because of the current popularity of the school because of Rowling, they had gotten a bunch of grants - it turned out the school really did exist but no one had known about it. We were just there, no magic or anything. They had decided that the stone walls were a bad look and had covered everything with that dark seventies paneling that they then painted a lovely rose colour, at least in the library. Also, it was suddenly all well lit.
I was in the library, looking for a book, when all of a sudden I ran into Tara who pointed out that there was some sort of class meeting going on in the library and we really should be attending. So we went and sat down in this circle of chairs but it turned out first of all that it was more like some sort of meeting and second of all that we sat down next to Jim from St. Cross, which was a problem for obvious reasons.
Fleeing eventually - I think we didn't get kissed much, but I remember that he kept moving his chair towards Tara who would then move her chair away - we were suddenly looking for a house. This is where the boy and the girl come in. After an insanely long drive - and finding out that the school was located in Australia, in Melbourne or possibly Sydney - we eventually got to the house we wound up renting. I'm not sure why we rented it; only the fact that the other houses across this creek nearby were in worse shape stopped me from calling the house a wreck. There was the remains of a very early car in the carport, and murals of the Who all over the inside of the house.
Someone, or possibly many someones, told us that the Who had lived in the house, which was news to me.
That section ended with us getting rid of the remains of the car.
Suddenly I was going into this very swanky bank in Seattle, that had a restaurant inside. I couldn't get through the door because my bag kept sliding between my legs making my butt stick out, but eventually I managed and I sat down and ordered something, even though I was waiting for my mother and my neice to show up. They arrived while I was in the bathroom, so they got seated at a different table; when I found them after leaving the loo, they had already gotten their salads despite the fact that I had been there twenty minutes and hadn't gotten my salad yet. The salads were full of purple flowers.
I was about to complain to the waiter, who was an asshat, but then the music started up and it turned out that this bank had a dancefloor as well. So for some reason I wound up dancing with this woman for a while, while the lights strobed and the music played - it was a very club floor. Then someone started saying that one of the members of the Who was there, he could tell because he could recognise him from this mural that was painted on the wall. It had also been in our house.
So I thought, what the hell. I don't listen to the Who, I'm not awed, I'll ask. So I went up and asked the guy if they had ever lived in a house in Sydney. Sadly, my dream self will never know, as that was when I woke up.
I have no idea if I was really dreaming about someone from the Who; to my way of thinking he looked more like someone from AC/DC.
