Requiem

I might cry.

graeae and I posted our leaving notice to the Carnivorous Wardrobe tonight.

This isn't just leaving a game, this is leaving my baby behind. Gwen and I created that game, we got comments, both compliments and criticisms, from people all over the net. We have players on three continents now.

Hell, we even got attacked by hprpsues! Twice! And after the second attack, they've just about folded their tents. Also, they couldn't judge a Sue to save their lives, honestly. But that's neither here nor there.

Part of me doesn't want it to end, part of me will always be angry Harry and surprisingly touching Snape and fucked up Terry and shy Ajeya and evil Ollivander and vicious Theo and dead Goyle forever, but...it's time to move one. It's time to put less effort into world-building for rp chars and more into world building for a novel with demons in.

It's time, unfortunately, to get serious about life. Having one. Living it.

But goddamn I'm never going to forget CW. The game that's given me Terry and Luna, and Snape and Firenze, and heroin, and my first (and only, I suck) piece of published writing...it's going to be a part of my life forever.

It's time to take the steps away while it's still mostly good, while there isn't too much ooc angst, while the chars are good. Time to leave so that I can remember it in a good light.

Time to move on.
