- Bullet points are shiny. I shall use them.
- This is a post of absolutely no consequence.
- I finally got to pick up Animal Factory today, adding to it Fight Club and Stranger Than Fiction, both by Chuck Palahniuk, and American Gods by Gaiman. This precluded any possibility of buying shoes, so that'll have to wait.
- Idaho was all right, especially the parts where I wasn't around either of my present sisters. Am currently in the middle of a fight with one, which I'll have to resolve tonight. My mother doesn't understand, when she says she's "not impressed" with my walking away from my sister's catty comments, that the other option is to make every family gathering for the next twenty years absolute hell because we won't be speaking to each other. It literally got to the point with her that I can either say nothing, which I don't want to do, or I can say everything, which will be the equivalent of going to Defcon 5 and then dropping the bomb on a comment about marshmallows, which I also don't want to do. So tonight we fight.
- The next person who says to me that you "have" to love your family will lose a limb. I don't love most of my family at all, and I don't like them, either. If the five I really can't stand were on a cliff, I'd push them off however I had to. I'm tired of people thinking that you have to love someone just because they're blood relatives. I don't.
- MIA:
deathbyexposure. Where are you?
- Am upset with the end of CW. Only one of the people involved has tendered an apology, and the other four have remained silent. No one else has said anything, either, other than on AIM chat. Some people aren't sure that when I say the game is ending effective immediately that I mean that. I got asked that today. Fortunately by someone who was smart enough not to ask me to comod his game. No modding, ever again.
- Not sure if I want to go to
graeae's sister's house tonight to see her and her baby. I would, as it would eliminate some of the time spent fighting about marshmallows, but on the other hand, I'd have to take my niece and HER baby, and that's just too much. What I want right now is a cave where no one related to me knows the address. On the gripping hand, if I don't, it'll have to wait till after I get back from Oakland, I think.
- Bonus points to anyone who knows where the phrase "the gripping hand" comes from.
-
sathariel sent me a lovely post card. I like Edward Gorey lots. And I would write back, but I see not your address.
- I have a lovely puzzle.
- I want to go read one of my shiny new books. I even bought a hardback. You know, if I want to persist in my course of believing that I can write about drug addiction, I can write about book addiction and then change the words. And, obviously, the means of delivery.
- Curious to know about the HP Junkiethon. Like I could pass that up. Also need to get to work on the Avada Collabra fic, and work on the Mammoth Sorting Hat Fic, which I quite like.
- Hopefully the time off gaming will give me more time to write and less to dink around in. This is a good thing.
- My brain is running out of bullet points.
- A trail ride is only a good place for a massacre if you bring an automatic weapon.
- I've got a dog's head on my leg. I have to go pet it now.
