*bangs head on desk...over and over and over...*
You know, the worst part about this administration is not its shocking departure from previous US actions toward hostile agents but that they're so bad at it that they keep getting caught. Apparently we have more humanitarians on the payroll of agencies like the FBI than we thought.
NOTE TO HIRING DIRECTOR AT FBI: If the DoD is going to engage in a multi-locale operation involving the torture of prisoners who have not been treated according to the Geneva Convention, kindly refrain from hiring decent human beings who will question such things. We need to present a united front to the rest of the world, since the election results are indicative that we're not united, but it doesn't matter who we as individuals voted for, we're all tarred and feathered with the same brush.
Do you realise, o hiring director, that we're not presenting that united front of total hatred for all other nations if you insist on hiring people who will question the usage of torture, or the evident pattern of behaviour in the actions at Guantanamo of the commander who went on to Abu Ghraib in March of 2004? Do you realise that we appear to be a splintered nation, with some people far more concerned about the human rights of others than the people who re-elected our Monkey-In-Chief?
You need to get on-message. We're Americans, and by Christ we hate everyone else in the world, except God. Or maybe that's Christ. I don't know, I was raised Catholic. Who does Bush worship? You figure it out, you're working at an intelligence agency. That's all we like at any rate. God and Bush, and no one else. Wait, does Cheney count separately?
Get with it. You're so Clinton-era in your hiring practices.
