I DECLARE THIS POST TO BE AN OFFICIAL SPOILER ZONE.
Okay, onto the book. And yes, it is THAT book.
The first thing I can say about it is that I have a Harry Potter bath towel. Actually, it's a bath sheet and I bought it in England for five quid at the Oxford market a couple years ago. It was faithfully saved by my faithful saver of things and I have it here now.
If that leads you to question whether or not I'm gonna get HBP as quick as I can, consider therapy. Of course I am! I hate Rowling's writing and characterisation utterly, I dislike her reliance on tried and true "mythological" standards, I think she plays cover-your-ass-fu too often for any one human being to survive, and yet, I will buy the Goddamn Book the night it comes out.
If that's not sad, bear in mind I considered preordering it in ENGLAND and scheduling my trip there for after the release so that I could have a cover that matched my current set. Then I realised I didn't have a matched set anyway so it didn't matter, but I am Suspicious of text changes.
But two points. I'm not stupid, and I read quickly. I will, at least when operating under logic, avoid LJ, GJ, and indeed TEH INTARWEB, starting from Friday night, (to get all them English TYPES-A) or Friday morning, or whenever the fuck you can get it starting at midnight, which is technically Saturday morning anyway. Again, if operating under logic, I will not return to the land of data goodness before I finish the book.

I take full responsibility for spoilers if I return before I finish the goddamn book.
So. This calls for a party. Bear in mind, I am Depressed And In Need of a Boat Oar to hit things with.
Spoil me. I don't really actually care (though anyone who says that Sirius comes back before 12:05 am your-standard-time Saturday will die) about spoilers, though they should be funny or at least well phrased if nothing else. I operate on a system of consent. If I don't want to be spoiled, I should do what I said above and stay away. Since I am a weak, weak human being - I'll be back and you know it.
