If there is someone on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
Of course, my cynical side is pointing out that whether or not anyone on Ye Olde Flist has made my life a better place, it would have been damn near impossible to go through life with any sort of net presence without meeting someone.

Dear Mother -
If I am applying online for SOMETHING, because of an email I received indicating that I should apply online for SOMETHING, trust me - the SOMETHING's SOMETHING SERVERS are NOT related to Yahoo's email servers. They are not making with the unholy binary love, and they are not having binary babies. Though that would, in hindsight, certainly explain my spam.
But fear not, mother mine! I will not apply online for SOMETHING and accidentally attach the email that I got indicating that I should apply for the SOMETHING. And if I did, considering what SOMETHING is and what I am applying for, I would not fuck it up. Assuming, of course, that SOMEONE ELSE wants to play ball about this SOMETHING. SOMEONE ELSE always bats last. Unfortunately. And SOMEONE ELSE has fucked this up before. But SOMEONE ELSE will not see my application, so they will not fuck shit up based on that.
I really want this SOMETHING.

Kudos to anyone who can figure out what I'm talking about, but DON'T MENTION IT because you will JINX IT and I will be forced to KILL YOU.
And finally:
Just because being over halfway feels like an achievement. Plz to be noting that this is a third again as long as I planned when I was writing it for Nano - which was twice as long as Nano asks for. So in a sense, I'm nearly done with my Nano commitment, in terms of word count, though I made Nano per se, but I'm not done with the goddamn book.
If I can have another week off, I might actually crack 100K. THAT'S scary.
And apparently I am driving back, with The Dread Dog Riley from Utah around about the end of March (21st or 22nd) to Seattle. This is just to check that in that vast empty space there is no one on the flist. Cause I don't know who it would be. I know there are a couple people in Oregon, but not in UT or ID, correct? Or Nevada. Or even Spokane?
