When I come to write my memoirs, some time shortly after the bit where I get arrested in a scandalous situation involving half a dozen persons of negotiable virtue, a bag of unidentified powder, three pounds of feathers, and a case of Malibu, I will have to remember this week.
So the job offer that has been made - a good job, and one I want, like Gollum wanted the precious. Not, however, the Wizards job. Channongollum wantsss the Wizardsss preciousss more. After much wibbling, calling of many people, much advice, a meeting with a friend, and a whole lot of imaginary liquid courage, I told IASP that I was in application process with another group, wanted to compare the two jobs side by side to make the best decision for myself, and could I get back to them by Wednesday.
Imagine my shock when they said that would be fine.
I also got Wizards to move up their interview process by two weeks (they were going to do it the first week of April, but I have an interview on Monday), they're aware that I need a decision by Wednesday, and I am in shock that I managed to request all this. I have to figure out a way to repay Mentorman a fraction of what I owe him, for his help, the four phone calls in fourteen hours, the meeting today, and everything else - maybe it will be partial repayment when I take his advice and request more money than they're offering. *g*
But right now, I have to admit: It's nice to be wanted.
And now I have five days to finish sewing for the wedding, respond to everyone who posted replies to my post on
little_details, work on rp stuff, and not worry about this, because you know what?
One way or the other, I have a job.
