The funny part about MCR to me is that I really don't like their ballads. Ghost of You is only tolerable because of the video and the tempo change, and I Don't Love You makes me want to die. I don't really care for Monroeville, either, though I hate it so much I'm not sure it's actually a ballad per se. Demolition Lovers, as the ballad for Bullets, REALLY made me ill for a long time, and as it stands, I don't really like that long itinerant musicale that happens after about the 3 minute mark, but I love the lyrics.

All in all, though, I prefer Mirror, Sorrows, and Vampire to Demolition Lovers. I've found that despite originally thinking that Bullets had really horrible production values and I preferred the more polished sound of Revenge and Parade (funny how all their titles are so goddamn long that you have to abbreviate them to one word!) I've reversed that position and really hope that their next album is a return to that punk-pop sound they originally had.

But they can keep Demolition Lovers' lyrics, because those rock.
