Luna was a LOT better than I expected, particularly given that I think the character is a complete Mary Sue - Rowling sent her adult self back to school and told them, basically, that she doesn't care what they think of her; that's my belief of where that character comes from - and in the movie she was really perfect, sort of dreamy, very sweet, very nice, and very much matter of fact. There's a lot of camping her up in the rpg world, and that's not at ALL appealing, because people tend to play her as a rather stupid slut (a la Paris Hilton) and I was worried that somehow that would be what the director and casting person would take away. She was very understated and just perfect. I loved watching her skip around the school, which is completely less silly than you think it would be when you realise someone has to make this happen on screen. She was marvellous.
I hope they ignore that too - I want more of Tonks. I fell in love the second she flashed red at Moody when he called her Nymphadora and was constantly watching for her changing hair - very well done, very natural looking!
And I COMPLETELY agree on the Worst Memory scene. It would have been awkward to have the full-on memory, and this way, at least, you got the sense of it. Also, the kid they picked for Young!Snape was perfect, and very sad. But I have a soft spot for bullied people, having been one myself.
