I'm not going to link the person in question, but perusing a moderate-nemesis' journal, I notice, in the middle of a meme, featuring this question and answer.

"-if you could live anywhere in the world, where: Britain, near the city"

Because, you know, there's only ONE CITY IN BRITAIN, AND IT'S JUST ALL RURAL OTHER THAN THAT, OMG LOOK AT THE COW IN THE FIELD THERE.

*beats perpetrator of bastard geography senseless with a backhoe*

Jesus, the American education system is to laugh at.

Yeah, I spam when I'm bored.

It's so amazingly annoying when people don't know the difference between Britain, England, and the UK. It'd be like going to Texas and saying "well, here we are in Iowa! Let's daytrip Los Angeles tomorrow!"

Of course, Americans don't know anything about Canada, for godsake.

Americans really don't know anything about anywhere, with the possible exception of America. Maybe. On even-numbered days.

If you want to learn anything in this country, you have to find it out by yourself. The actual system is more interested in making you behave than teaching.

When I requested to be placed in a French class and a Spanish class in seventh grade, the bitch-in-charge looked at me like I'd grown a second head. "You can't do that," she sneered.

It's much more important for them to get you used to getting up at some obscene hour of the morning.

All my knowledge of geography I acquired through hours of staring wistfully and longingly at maps, wishing I were almost anywhere else. What's this? The Ross Ice Shelf? Sign me up!

Oh, I'm a firm believer in that. If school doesn't interest you or teach you anything, do something else with your time, for christ's sake. But don't write education off completely. It's about the only thing you'll get for free, up to a point.
