If Wal-Mart is so concerned about "family values" and music quality (as evidenced by their stupendous treatment of their employees and their censorship of artists they carry), why are they adverting HP6 on GJ for $16.66?

When I worked in fast food, I had people who would refuse to pay if it totaled $6.66. Or they'd pay extra and refuse the change. We had to go through every so often, into the registers, and reprogram them so that you couldn't add up that amount. Just keep track of the orders that total to that, then set it to boot them up to $6.67.

They were charing $15.73 per copy here in Madison, which with tax comes to $16.58 (5.5% sales tax). Guess we escape scott free on this one...

It's listed as $15.78 when you click on the ad, so I'm not sure if the rest is shipping - probably - and with our sales tax (9.1%, I think) it'll be over that, but the ad seriously says "Harry Potter Book 6 - Order Harry Potter Book 6 at Wal-Mart for only $16.66", which boggles my mind.

And before you do the sales tax freak out dance, we don't have a state income tax. But we do have a new baseball stadium that had to be paid for somehow, even after we voted it down!

No, I know WI has a lower sales tax than most states (except for gas and tobacco) but I figure that in a town that has three professional sports teams like Seattle there's always some new bloody stadium that needs to be paid for.

There's an old stadium we don't even have any more that needs to be paid for too! I watched it blow up - it was pretty cool.

And we've got four - though I don't know where the Thunderbirds play...somewhere with ice. Hockey team.

Because the number of the beast was recently revealed to actually be 616.

Figures. Especially seeing as that whole book is just propaganda. No, really - the bit about a city on seven hills, the bit about the aquilla eagle, a few other parts.

My life would be complete if it was The Satanic Verses or the Necronomicon or Martha Stewart.
