I plan to represent a mixed-message demographic this year at the polls. Black hoodie, but hardback copy of Scar Tissue. I consider myself to be one of the unheard of the country, but then again, I can afford twenty five dollar rock star bios that I only bought for the drug references (and nearly threw across the room when the book opened with a bunch of OZONE SHOTS. Yes, Anthony Kiedis gets OZONE injected into his BODY, apparently NEARLY EVERY DAY.) Also, I flag down bandwagons and get on them.
It's a largeish book. I might not finish it before I get to the actual voting booth.
I am amazed that there was neither an October surprise, nor a November surprise, but then again, perhaps they couldn't find the Bin Laden impersonator. I feel sure there should be a joke here about Tuna Surprise, but I would ask that the really sick individuals who read this refrain from making that joke. I already know what you're going to say, and basically, you're really, really sick.
Spent the night at the new place last night, but McArcus was "stuck in Olympia" for some reason (no idea) so no drinking. I'm well overdue for that sort of thing. On the other hand, I did find an entire nother box of books (sadly, not the ones I was looking for) so I no longer have shelf space in bookcases. This is, in fact, truly sad. Truly, truly sad.
I even decided to get rid of a few books, and I have several on loan to people, which I nearly never do, since I nearly never get them back when I loan them out.
Also, I either broke a tooth or else it's seriously shifted in my head. It doesn't hurt - yet - and I'm sort of waiting to see what's going on with that before I make an appointment at the UW Dental school. Maybe before it starts hurting I'll have some sort of insurance. And maybe pigs will fly.
Oh - some guy here at work dressed up as a hanging chad for Halloween, since his real name is Chad. I think next year I'll be a mixed message, if I can't find a poseable skeletal rat, or learn to speak in small caps.
