I am never going to find a job, clearly. Not in my field, not without relocating, and probably just "not".

Damn. You were so upbeat about the possibilities in the comments on your last post about it. It sounded like you had opportunities coming out of your ears! What happened?

Sounds like you're at a low point tonight, but I have no doubt that you're going to find something wonderful to sink your teeth into next. :)

Hang in there...

Oh, there's just no fucking publishing in Seattle.

I meant to send you an email tonight, but it's looking like duty is calling; I'll try to get it to you tomorrow. I am a bad, bad slacker, dude.

If it's any consolation, I've been looking into trying to get a regular job again, but after almost four years of freelancing, my solid reputation and stack of writing samples appear to count for jack shit. I'm pretty worried about the future.

No, you're not. You're going to have to live in a box. It will be a nice box though.

That is the best thought I've had on this whole situation.

I want, like, the yuppie box.

Keep fishin' miss. Someone will bite. Well, just not hard enough to draw blood, but you get my meaning.

Amazon's hiring. I am oddly qualified. Unfortunately, it's a job that is something like "Republican In Publishing", as it were - but it does look a bit interesting. I have my ups and downs; today is an up. The day I wrote this was so far down it might have been up again.
