I find the current attention on "Ardi" hilarious, given that A. ramidus was discovered back when I was actually still in high school; I referenced the find in a paper I wrote my senior year.

I graduated in 1995.

Haven't really looked into the articles yet; I know that he moved classifications a couple of times, but I don't have the faintest why it's taken them 14 years to get enough together to suddenly have a major media presence.

I vaguely remember talking about A. radimus when I was a freshman in high school.

Haven't bought it yet. I keep meaning to, but then something ricockulous about school crops up. I don't have class tomorrow, though, during the day, so I'm going to go pick it up. I don't know the other one you mentioned?

I probably still have the initial article about Ardi around here somewhere - back when he was Australopithecus ramidus. I assume that the timeframe means he was found in like 93. Why is it on google now? WHO KNOWS.

Ah, AFI. I haven't actually ever listened to them; I probably should before [livejournal.com profile] tryslora turns the fiery wrath of her eye-lasers on me. I'll grab that one, but by hook or by damn crook, I'll get WUTS tomorrow.

Le GASP. I like their newer stuff better than the older stuff, it's more melodic and lyric.

HUZZAH. No one else will discuss it with me, and my entire cohort gives me funny looks when I say what I'm listening to because none of them listen to anything remotely related to KH or AFI or MCR or TU or any of it.
